Which has a longer service life between ball valves and globe valves?

The difference between the globe valve and the ball valve is the hard seal. It can adjust the flow. The durable ball valve has a plastic seal. It can be fully opened and fully closed, but it can not be adjusted. Most iron balls are on the market. It is easy to rust the globe valve after we use a long time. It refers to the closing parts (disc) along the seat center line of the valve.

According to the shape of the disc, the change of the valve seat is proportional to the disc stroke.

Because the stem opening or closing stroke of this type of valve is relatively short. The valve has a very reliable cutting function. Because the change of the valve seat is through the valve and the stroke of the disc is directly proportional to the relationship. It is very suitable for flow regulation. Therefore, this type of valve is well suited for cutting or regulating and throttling use.

The ball valve
The ball valve is a ball with a round hole for opening and closing parts. The ball rotates with the stem to achieve the opening and closing action of the valve. The ball valve evolved from the plug valve. It is also known as the spherical plug valve. The opening and closing part of the ball valve is a ball, which is rotated 90 degrees around the axis of the valve stem to achieve the purpose of opening and closing.

The globe valve:
1) The globe valve is a regulating part that drives the valve disc along the center line of the seat vertically. It is controlled by rotating the hand wheel in the pipeline system to cut off the flow of the control medium. When the valve is working, the friction between the disc and the valve body sealing surface is small. The opening and closing torque are small. There is only one sealing surface for easy maintenance.

2) The globe valve has a thread and flange connection. The valve body and valve cap are made of a constant temperature hot forging tempering process. The production way is greatly improving the mechanical performance of the valve and safety factor. The valve pressure test is in strict accordance with GB/T13927-1992 "General valve pressure test" standard execution, 100% test qualified before leaving the factory.

3) Installation of valves must be carried out by qualified professionals. The different coaxiality deviation of pipelines at both ends should not be too large. Otherwise, excessive pipeline installation stress will be generated, which may lead to valve damage. When installing tightening, the hex or octagonal part on the same side of the thread should be wrenched. The hex or octagonal part on the other end of the valve should not be wrenched to avoid valve deformation.

4) The precision and effective length of the valve pipe thread strictly comply with ISO228 related standards. When installing and tightening, the wrench or pipe wrench with response torque must be selected. The effective thread length can be screwed in.

5) It is ensured that the installation of the flanged globe valve must be the two ends of the pipe flange surface parallel and coaxial, with appropriate spacing size, and connection screw hole corresponding. The deviation can not be too large, otherwise, it will affect the valve installation quality and sealing performance.

6) In order to ensure the normal use of the valve, install the filter at the inlet of the pipeline as far as possible.

To avoid frequent fluctuations in pipe pressure or temperature that reduce the service life of the valve, appropriate preventive measures should be designed.

7) The handwheel of the globe valve is designed according to the corresponding torque. Do not use the torque arm instead, so as to avoid excessive operating torque and damaging the valve.

8) The valve stem seal packing is polytetrafluoroethylene, for example, the corrosion leakage can be tightened pressure cap to compensate for the packing. The replacement packing needs to remove the medium pressure.

The ball valve: 
1) The ball valve is the pipe system that can quickly cut off, through the medium flow control components. In the process of use, the valve must be fully open or fully closed, but it can not be used to adjust the flow.

2) The ball valve has an internal and external thread, sleeve, and hot melt connection. The valve body and the valve cap use a constant temperature forging tempering process, and the performance of the mechanical valve and safety factor is greatly improved.

In the process of use, the speed of closing the valve should not be too large, otherwise, the water hammer effect of instantaneous pressure multiplication will be produced.

7) The valve stem seal packing is polytetrafluoroethylene, such as corrosion leakage can be tightened pressure cap to compensate for the packing. When you need to replace the packing, you should remove the medium pressure first.
