The classifications of stainless steel ball valves
 
1. According to the structure, stainless steel ball valve class can be divided into floating ball valves, fixed ball valves and resilient ball valves.
 
Floating ball valves: The ball of the ball valve is floating. Under the action of medium pressure, the sphere will produce a certain displacement, pressing on the sealing surface of the outlet end to ensure the sealing of the outlet end. The floating ball valve structure is simple. The sealing performance is good, but the bearing load of the working medium of the ball all transfers to the export seal ring. Therefore, it is necessary to consider whether the sealing ring material can bear the working load of the ball.
 
Fixed ball valves: the ball valve is fixed. It does not move after pressure. Fixed ball valves have floating seats. When the medium is pressed, the seat moves so that the sealing ring is pressed on the sphere to ensure the seal. Bearings are usually mounted on the upper and lower shafts of the ball and operate with low torque. It is suitable for high pressure and large diameter valves. In order to reduce the operating torque of ball valves and increase the reliability of sealing, oil seal ball valves appeared. It injects special lubricant between the sealing surface, forms an oil film, enhances the sealing performance and reduces the operating torque, which is more suitable for high pressure large caliber ball valves.
 
Resilient ball valves: the ball of the ball valve is elastic. The ball and seat sealing ring are made of metal material. The sealing pressure is very large. The pressure of the medium itself cannot meet the sealing requirements, and external forces must be applied. The valve is suitable for high temperature and high pressure medium. An elastic sphere is an elastic groove cut at the lower end of the inner wall of the sphere to obtain elasticity. To close the aisle, use the stem wedge to inflate the ball and compress the seat seal. Loosen the wedge head before turning the ball, the ball will return to its original state, leaving a small gap between the ball and the seat, which can reduce the friction and operating torque of the sealing surface.
 
2. According to its channel position, ball valves can be divided into straight valves, three-way ball valves, and right angle valves. Three-way ball valves are T type and L type. The T type can connect three orthogonal pipes to each other and cut off a third channel, which can be split and merged. L type can only be connected to two orthogonal pipes, not a third pipe connected to each other at the same time. It only serves the function of distribution. Three-way ball valves are the integrated structure with four side seat sealing, less flange connection, high reliability and lightweight design. Tee ball core is divided into T type and L type with long service life, large circulation capacity and small resistance.
 
3. According to the function of points, ball valves can be divided into single-action ball valves and double-action ball valves. The single-acting type is characterized by the failure of the power source. The ball valve will be in the state of control system requirements.
 
4. According to its composition, ball valves can be divided into one-piece ball valves, two-piece ball valves and three-piece ball valves.
 
5. According to the material, ball valves can be divided into stainless steel ball valves (201, 301, 304, 304L, 316L), cast steel ball valves WCB, carbon steel ball valves, ductile iron ball valves, etc.
 
6. According to the driving mode, ball valves can be divided into electric ball valves, pneumatic ball valves, manual ball valves and hydraulic ball valves.
