How to make the performance of stainless steel flange ball valves stable?
The stainless steel flange
ball valve is a kind of universal stainless steel valve, it is widely used in the valve application. Therefore, reasonable maintenance can improve the work efficiency, reduce the maintenance time and save the replacement cost. In order to make the
stainless steel flange ball valve with stable performance and long service life, the following factors should be paid attention to:
1. If the stainless steel valve is cleaned, the solvent used must not conflict with the parts to be cleaned, and no corrosion will be founded. If it is a special gas ball valve, it can be cleaned with gasoline. Other parts can be cleaned with water. When we are cleaning them, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the residual dust, oil stain and other attachments. If they cannot be cleaned with water, they can be cleaned with alcohol and other cleaning agents on the premise of not damaging the valve body and parts. After it was cleaned, the cleaning agent will evaporate completely before assembly.
2. Generally, PTFE is used as sealing material for soft sealing s
tainless steel ball valves, and the sealing surface of hard sealing ball valves is made of metal surfacing. If it is necessary to clean the pipe ball valves, you should be careful to prevent leakage due to the damage of sealing ring during disassembly.
3. Before use it, water should be used to clean the over-current part of the pipe and the valve body, which can prevent the residual iron chips and other foreign matters from entering the inner cavity of the valve body.
4. Long term storage in the open air will lead to the corrosion of valve body and the parts, which can not be used normally. The
ball valve should be rain proof, waterproof and moisture-proof, and the flange cover should be tightly covered. Stainless steel valves stored for more than 12 months should be retested to ensure the stable performance.
5. When disassembling the
stainless steel flange ball valves, the bolts and nuts on the flange should be fixed first, and then all the nuts should be slightly tightened, and then it will firmly fixed. If some nuts are fixed by force first, and then other nuts are fixed, the gasket surface will be damaged or broken due to uneven bearing between flange faces, resulting in medium leakage from the valve flange butt joint.
6. If the slight leakage is found at the packing during the process of usage, the valve stem nut can be tightened slightly until the leakage stops, and it can not be further tightened.
7. When the
stainless steel ball valve is closed, there is still some residual medium in the valve body, which also bears certain pressure. Before repairing the ball valve, we should close the shut-off valve in front of the ball valve, open the ball valve to be overhauled, and completely release the internal pressure of the valve body. If it is happened on
electric ball valves or
pneumatic ball valves, the power supply and air source will be disconnected first.
